Third Revolution

According to a report recently published by the US Academy of Sciences, world agriculture is facing the third revolution of this century.

The first was agricultural mechanization initiated at the beginning of the century. The second took place in 1960 thanks to the use of chemical fertilizers and high production varieties. The third will be the so-called alternative agriculture.

"Alternative Agriculture" is the title of the 400-page report, written by 17 university experts. The main objective of the report is to use it to improve the production of abandonments of biological relationships that take place in nature. The following points stand out:

    Genetic breeding of varieties capable of fighting disease and drought and using food more effectively. Need for rotation of cos.Prevention of diseases and excessive use of antibiotics. Use of integrated pest control methods. These methods use the dam/dam relationships that take place in nature. The goal is to reduce the use of pesticides.
