Anti-paf and asthma

Numerous types of molecules are being evaluated in the treatment of bronchitic asthma. The most interesting substances are those that are able to inhibit the synthesis of mediating molecules in the allergic reaction.

Hopeful results have been obtained by paralyzing key enzymes in the production of “leucotricine” and opposition to the “platelet activation factor” or paf, two important agents to cause bronchitic spasm.
